چکیده

Remaining life is an important indicator of pavement residual effective service time and directly related to maintenance decision-making with limited funds. This paper proposes a fast non-destructive model predict the remaining rigid PCC (Portland cement concrete) pavement, or without asphalt overlay. Firstly, was constructed according current Chinese design specifications for concrete integrating inverse concept. Secondly, prediction applied three typical sections 1430, 1250 1000 slabs, respectively. Ground penetrating radar (GPR) utilized determine geometric parameters in predictive physical state pavement. A falling weight detector (FWD) determination mechanical parameters. more reasonable equivalent elastic modulus foundation back-calculated instead using specification. Thirdly, predicted based on The distributions statistically analyzed. Finally, system inform strategy proposed technical condition each slab. results showed that relationship between parameters, highly consistent engineering experience. success rate as high 96%. good applicability feasibility. shown be feasible terms economic benefits.

The prediction of pavement remaining life

The primary objective of the project was the development of criteria to define the end-of– life condition of pavements. These criteria could then be used in pavement performance modelling to obtain a more robust measure of remaining life. Another objective was the generation of a new model for maintenance costs. This could then be combined with the existing models for roughness and rutting to d...

Pavement performance prediction model development for Tehran

Highways and in particular their pavements are the fundamental components of the road network. They require continuous maintenance since they deteriorate due to changing traffic and environmental conditions. Monitoring methods and efficient pavement management systems are needed for optimizing maintenance operations. Pavement performance prediction models are useful tools for determining the op...

An integrated life cycle assessment and life cycle analysis model for pavement overlay systems

Pavement systems have significant impacts on the environment and economy due to large material consumption, energy input, and capital investment. To evaluate the sustainability of rigid pavement overlay designs, an integrated life cycle assessment and life cycle cost analysis model was developed to calculate the environmental impacts and costs of overlay systems resulting from material producti...
